He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Pauline Wheeler; brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Evelyn Wheeler; neice, Susan Williamson. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Joann Wheeler; children, Cathy (Clancy) Nash, and Joey (Renee) Wheeler; grandchildren, Danny (Diana) Nash and their children Crystal and Wyatt; Denise Nash and her children Makayla and Micah; and Christopher, Caitlain; step-grandchildren, Philip (Angie), and Brad; as well as several nieces and nephews. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Rich DDE-820 and was a member of the American Legion Post 598. Jimmie was retired from NCR and General Motors. In November of 2014 he had the honor of being part of the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.
A visitation at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A funeral service with Christopher Wheeler (Nephew) officiating. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
