CHAFFEE — A Chaffee resident, Harry N. Bailey, 58 years old, died Tuesday at his home because of a heart attack.

Mr. Bailey was born Aug. 25, 1909, in Greenville and the family moved to Chaffee the next year.

On Dec. 24, 1940, he married Miss Gertrude Schindler, who survives.

Mr. Bailey was a presser for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, being employed there for 32 years.

He was a veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 389, Elks Lodge 1810, and the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Shackles, Chaffee, and Mrs. Louis Clifford, Hurst, Ill., and two brothers, Albert Bailey and John Gulley, Chaffee.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 at the First Baptist Church by the Rev. R. L. Robinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

The body is at Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Chaffee where friends may call after 7 tonight.
