Genell King Obituary

Genell King, 81, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was born in Dyersburg, TN on December 9, 1935, to Clyde Lowell Loyd and Mary Velma Serratt. She was a member of Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed participating in Senior Saint church activities, Chocolate, yard sales, Chocolate, shopping, and her favorite thing of all family gatherings, and of course Chocolate.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Whitley and Randy McCombs officiating. Burial will be in Martin Hill Cemetery with Bro. Matthew Pharr conducting graveside service. Visitation will be on Saturday May 20, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Booneville Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Chester "Cotton" King of Booneville; three daughters, Cynthia Sparks (Kenny) of New Site, Sharon McCombs (Randy) of New Site, and Rhonda Whitley (Jack) of Cherokee, AL; three sons, Don King (Dianne) of Booneville, Bob King of Forest City, AR, and Jason King (Sandy) of Corinth; one brother-in-law, James "Sonny" King (Mary) of Rienzi; six sisters-in-law, Marie Parker of Booneville, Zena Faye Phillips of Booneville, Margie Chase (Thomas "Pill") of Thrasher, Joyce Loyd of Eagle River, WI, Glenda King of Booneville; and Lucy King of Booneville; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clyde Loyd, Gerald Loyd, and James Loyd; her Step father, Tom Battles; her father and mother in law, Benjamin Feb and Cora Eldridge King.

Pallbearers will be; Brad King, Chris Sparks, David Cunningham, Chad McCombs, Justin King, Jay Whitley, and Weston King.
