Gerald Hugh Alexander went to be with his Lord and Savior, May 18, 2017. He was born in Pt. Huron, Mich., March 14, 1937. Gerald was a retired journeyman electrician for IBEW Local 117, Elgin, Ill. He graduated from the Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1979 and pastored churches in Virginia, Oregon, Florida and Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fern and Hugh Alexander; and sister, Debra Long.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Florence Alexander. The remaining family: son, Shane Alexander; brothers, Ronald and Dale Alexander; and many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, May 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation, one hour prior.
