Bruce was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Covert, son of Claude and Mae Irene (Knoll) Stanley.
He was former owner of Stanley Trucking Co. in Minneapolis, Minn., for several years and was formerly employed by Cass Transfer in Dowagiac.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 113 in Marshall, Minn., and a former member of the Eagles and Moose lodges in Dowagiac. Survivors include: a daughter, Laura Sletton of North Branch, Minn.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Alberta Mead of Decatur and Shirley Mae Bradeen of Camp Hill, Pa.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mead, and a brother, Silas Stanley. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services.
