Anderson, L - We are very sorry to have to chronicle the death of our esteemed friend Rev L Anderson, who came here last fall from Windom, Minn, his death occurring Wed afternoon Oct 31st after several week's with pneumonia fever. Mr Anderson was a progressive business man and saw the great need of a state and barrel factory at this place and established one which was a success financially from the start and hs death will be a great loss to our commmunity as he was a good citizen, a true christian gentleman and an excellent business man. He leaves a number of orphan children to mourn his death which becomes doubly sad to them as their mother died several yrs ago thus leaving them without parental care and attention. Funeral services were held at the residence Thurs at 2 o'clock after which the remains were interred in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Bentonville Sun - Nov 2nd 1895.
