She was born March 23, 1945 to Wayne and Jean Arnett in Ganado, Texas.
She graduated from Ganado High School, served in the United States Navy, was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, choir, and committees, and was a member of the American Legion Aux.
She was preceded in death by husband Johnny W. Parks, parents, Raymond Young and niece Kaylee Kacer.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Monday September 16, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Ganado Texas. Funeral Services Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church, Ganado Texas.
