Marietta J. Coyne, age 86, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on May 13, 2017.
Marietta Odstrcil entered this world on November 7, 1930 in Seymour, TX, born to Stanley and Albina Odstrcil.
Marietta grew up in west Texas with her two brothers, Julius and Stanley. Marietta was very proud of her Czechoslovakian heritage and a devout Catholic.
Marietta attended school in Grandfalls, Texas where she graduated from high school then proceeded on to nursing school where she obtained her registered nursing degree from St. Joseph's Nursing College in Fort Worth, Texas. Marietta eventually met her future husband, Michael Coyne who was stationed there in the United States Air Force.
They went on to be married on April 16, 1955 in San Angelo, Texas. During her life, she enjoyed living in various locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico where she continued with her nursing profession. Marietta retired from nursing at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Marietta was preceded in death by her late husband, Michael of 53 years and one brother, Julius Odstrcil.
Marietta is survived by her younger brother, Stanley Odstrcil and his wife, Pat of San Angelo, TX, her daughter, Kathleen Navarrette and her husband, Ken of Rio Rancho, her son, Michael John Coyne of Casper, WY and, son, Daniel Coyne and his wife, Susan of Jamestown, ND, six grandchildren, Dawn Stadford and her husband, Orion, SSgt. Matthew Edwards, Lyndsay Bennett, Stephen Coyne and his wife, Stephani, Kelli Coyne and Cody Masterson and his wife, Britteny and eight great-grandchildren, Baylei, Terrence, Kyron, Sophie, Sienna, Paisley, Braxton and Kyser.
Marietta was a loving, caring and compassionate woman to all of her loved ones. Marietta will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 11:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception in the Parish Hall at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. at Santa Fé National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fé, NM.
