MUNDY, Cecilia M. - Of Clio, age 92, died Friday, April 25, 1997 at Clio Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28,1997 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Clio, with Pastor Erwin Kostizen officiating and burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 12-9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Organ Fund at Messiah. Cecilia was born February 21, 1905 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the daughter of Dennis and Caroline (Fasnacht) Shanahan. She married Orvil Mundy on December 23, 1922 in Flint and he preceded her in death September 9, 1986. Cecilia resided in the Flint area since 1957 and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Maxine and husband Darcy Hensel of Clio, Marjorie and husband, Ernest Marquardt of Florida; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Cecilia was preceded in death by a son, Orville; sister, Beatrice Pope; and a brother, Edward Shanahan.
