She was born, Linda Joyce Weeks, March 12, 1945 to William Pete and Eunice Miller Weeks in Brazoria County, Texas. She was a proud, lifelong resident, and a part of the 3rd out of 6 generations that has continuously lived in Sweeny. She was a proud Sweeny Bulldog of the graduating Class of 1963! Her lifelong best friend, Toni (Boutwell) Hickman, and herself were the first female “2 person” mascot team that comprised the famous school mascot “Butch”!

Linda was a proud daughter, sister, aunt and most of all, a Mother. Her life’s flame diminished at the passing of her only daughter, but she persevered for the love of life and that of her 2 remaining sons.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, June and Carol; her daughter, Karla Kay Strother and her lifelong childhood friend, Toni (Boutwell) Hickman.
