Reardon, Elizabeth (Betty)

Elizabeth (Betty) Reardon, age 75, a resident of the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died peacefully with her family holding her hand on Friday evening, May 12, 2017 at the Center.

She was born on October 10, 1941 in Manitowoc, son of the late Pritchard and Irene (Schaden) Reardon. Betty attended St. Paul Parochial Grade School and graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1960. She was employed at Mirro, Paragon, Lakeside Packing and for 13 seasons at National Tinsel, retiring early due to numerous physical problems. In her younger years, Betty loved traveling, camping, playing her accordion and shooting pool where she was captain of a pool team for many years. She also loved animals, playing cards, flowers, balloons, dancing and Elvis music, but most of all she loved people.

Betty is survived by her sister: Pat Matte and her fiancé Ron Armstrong, Manitowoc; her nieces and nephews and their spouses: Dickie Kleiber, Karolyn Swoboda, Chris & Ed Maloch, Sue & Mike Kenny, Kathy & Tim Koepee, Peter Kleiber, Dan Kleiber & friend Trudy, Ken Kleiber, Pam & Robb Cibrario, Larry Babcock, Laurie & David Gauthier, Mike & Lynn Seidl-Babcock, Jeff Babcock, Jim Babcock, Mark Babcock; and many other grand nieces and grand nephews too numerous to name.

Betty was preceded in death by a brother: Bill Reardon; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Gloria & Richard Kleiber, Cassie & Harold Babcock; and a brother-in-law: Lloyd Matte.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14th Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14th Street) Manitowoc, from 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 until 11:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Francis of Assisi or Lakeshore Humane Society in her name.
