PRESTON, Feb. 10 — Failing to rally from a heart attack suffered at her home late last night, Juliana Koehler, wife of Louis Becker, well-known Preston resident for the past 44 years, died at 11:15, at the age of 74. Word of her sudden passing came as a distinct shock to numerous friends and acquaintances formed through a long association in the community. Mrs. Becker had apparently been in good health. She was born in Wellesley village and lived there until two years after her marriage on July 9, 1898, They resided for three years each Tavistock and Wiarton and 44 years ago made their home in Preston. Mrs. Becker was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, an honorary member of the Ladies Aid and a member of the Missionary Society of that church. Surviving are her husband; seven daughters, Mrs. John tHermina) Boundy, Windsor; Mrs. Arthur (Reseda) Brusso, Mrs. Cecil (Lydia) Franks, Mrs. William (Marguerite) Wright, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Ross, all of Preston; Mrs, John (Marion) Johns, of Galt, Mrs. H. W. (Helen) Dodson, of Ottawa; two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Becker, Preston, Mrs. William Roberts, Kitchener and one brother, Edward Koehler, of Centreville. A brother, Charles Koehler of Wellesley, predeceased her four weeks ago and a sister, Mrs. John Weitz of Kitchener predeceased her six years ago. Nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. The body will rest at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, until noon on Thursday. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Thursday at 3:30. Interment will be in Preston cemetery.
