Services were held Wednesday afternoon for Otto F. DeSpain at the Miami Presbyterian Church. Bishop Kenneth Beedle and Miami Elks Lodge conducted the services. Interment was in the Elks Plot in Pinal Cemetery where VFW Post 1441 officiated at graveside services.
Mr. DeSpain died at his home, 914 Rose Road, Miami, Saturday. Born Aug. 10, 1880 at Thatcher, he had been a millwright in South Africa from 1920 to 1945. He was a member of VFW Post No. 1441, Miami, Globe Elks Lodge No. 489, and the LDS church.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; a stepson, Maj. Francis Nenes, Williams AFB; a brother, Mark DeSpain, Lynwood, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Miles Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
