Nelda Jean (Ebert) Walton age 86 of Paden City, WV passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at her residence. She was born March 19, 1937, at West Post Office, Wetzel County, WV, the daughter of the late Elmer and Janye (Postlethwait) Ebert.
Nelda was the secretary for Mahone Tire, City Recorder for the city of Friendly, WV, a member of the Wetzel County Democratic Party, Red Hat Society, Moose Lodge, American Legion Aux., and co-owner of Bubbles and Troubles Clown Club and a 1955 graduate of Magnolia High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis Walton; 3 brothers, Delbert Dean, Lane Francis, and Kenneth Marvin Ebert; 2 sisters, Velma Lucille Stoneking, and Dorothy Ellen Goddard; faithful cat Gray.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Sharon Michelle (Allen) Stanley, Lisha Dawn (Stephen) Mullen and Shawna Maria (Elliott) Kendle; 2 step-children, Michael Walton and Cathy Grimes; sister Alice Hammel; 7 grandchildren, Jason Scheil, Jonthan (Anja) Scheil, Alexandria (Christian) Parsons, Leila (Douglas) Leech, Ryan (Faith) Mullen, Sean Christner, Jordan Seth Christner; 6 great-grandchildren, Victoria Clayton, Sophie Scheil, Maddox Scheil, Douglas Leech, Ryker Leech, and Ren Mullen; several nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm, at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville with Rev. Sarah Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV.
