Elroy B. "PeeWee" Cluver, 83, of Buckley passed away at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E Main Street, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in Ash Grove Cemetery, Rural Onarga with military honors by Buckley American Legion, Byron A. Hickerson Post 432.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, and also one hour prior to the service on Monday. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is assisting the family with arrangements.

PeeWee was born January 4, 1934 in rural Onarga the son of Henry and Anna Peters Cluver. He married Ruth Ann Krumwiede November 23, 1958 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ash Grove. She survives.

Along with his wife, Ruth, he is survived by one son, Ross Cluver of Buckley; three sisters-in-law, Janie Fritchley, Lil Cluver, and Norma Cluver all of Cissna Park; three brothers-in-law, Harold Froehling, Ron (Shirley) Krumwiede, and Rich (Glenda) Krumwiede all of Cissna Park; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Russell Cluver; five brothers, Russell, Alfred, Elvin, Delbert, Norbert and Francis; four sisters, Adele, Lou Ella, Helen and Rosalie.

PeeWee attended Cissna Park High School. He served in the United States Army. He was a milk hauler and farmer, worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation, and was a school janitor and bus driver for Buckley-Loda.

He was a member, former Elder and church janitor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He was also a member of the Buckley Sportsman's Club, the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432 and a life-long Chicago Cubs fan.
