BIOGRAPHY

Jim Bacorn, 67, of the Golden Community, passed away May 10, 2017, in Dallas, Tx.

Jim was born June 22, 1949, in Sweet Home, Oregon, to Jonice and Marie (Laster) Bacorn.

Jim was a decorated Vietnam Veteran and was very proud of his medals from his time serving in the Army. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, in Broken Bow.

Jim married the love of his life, Dianne Gallahar in 1971, in Sweet Home, OR; moving to Oklahoma 15 years ago.

Jim enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He was a hard worker and loved to work with his hands. Jim is known to have an awesome collection of walking sticks.

His priority in life was spending time with his family and church friends. Not only was Jim a patriotic man, he was also known as a good Christian and humble man. Jim was a quiet person yet generous to those in need.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jonice and Marie Bacorn; and a niece, Rebecca.

Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, of 46 years, Dianne Bacorn, of the home; daughter, Debi Collins, of Oregon; brother, Ronnie Bacorn and wife, Wanda of Broken Bow; four grandchildren, Cassi, Chris, Jeffrey, and Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Kimmi, Kalayla, Thomas, Becca, and Tobi; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and a host of friends, including special friend, J.C. James, of Sweet Home, OR.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 10:00 am, at the First United Methodist Church, with David Gordon officiating.

Family will receive friends, Friday, May 12, 2017, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
