Obituary - Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Asay Allphin, 76, were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the LDS Stake House chapel with Bishop Scott Welch officiating. Burial was in the Lovell cemetery with Haskell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Allphin passed away Friday morning, June 14, in North Big Horn hospital following a lingering illness.
She was born Dec. 10, 1886, in Hatch, Utah, the Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eleazer Asay. She came to Wyoming in her youth and was married to George Kerry Allphin Sr. Mar. 14, 1906.
Surviving are four sons, George Kerry Jr. of Kennewick, Wash., Mylen Lee of Orem, Utah, Vernon of Kearns, Utah and Marlom of Shelly, Utah; four daughters, Mrs. Viola Jensen of Renton, Wash., Mrs. Vida Neves of Spanish Fork, Utah, Geneva Dickson of Arlington, Wash. and Myra Cowley of Garland; three brothers, Arthur Asay of Lovell, Irvin of Byron and Eleazer of Provo, Utah; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Despain of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Leah Workman of Thermopolis and Mrs. Myrtle Kitchen of Orem; 52 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
