Helen Bernell "Nell" Cross McDaniel, age 88, daughter of Bennie C. Cross and Mary Helen Hardy Cross, passed away on May 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence G. McDaniel; brother, Bennie Millard Cross. She is survived by a son, Timothy Wayne McDaniel; a sister, Dorothy Soyars Haley Wilson. She spent most of her life in the Cascade Community and was a member of Willis Memorial Baptist Church. She had 17 years of perfect attendance. She retired from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills with 50 years of service. She graduated from Brosville High School. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
