Clarence "George" McDaniel, 70, of Cascade, died Aug. 8, 2002, at Danville Medical Center. Born June 12, 1932, in Eden, N.C., he was the son of William McDaniel and Mary Betty Carter McDaniel.
He lived in Cascade for the past 49 years and was a member of Emanuel Friends Church in Eden. He was a truck driver for Roy Stone Trucking Company. He was a member of the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Helen "Nell" Cross McDaniel; a son, Timothy Wayne McDaniel; three sisters, Virginia Chambers, Edna Tate and Lillian Keck. He was also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
