AMOS BYERS, formerly of this city, died at the home of his eldest son in Philadelphia, after a lingering illness of six months of which were spent in bed. He was 82 years, 1 month and 10 days.
Mr. Byers is survived by a brother in the west; sons, Henry and John, Philadelphia; and daughters, Emma D. Clopper, widow of Edw. J. Clopper and Mrs. Earl Moats, 413 Vine Street, this city; grandson, Richard McCardell, Philadelphia.
The body arrived Saturday on the 2:10 C.V. train. Services at the home of his daughter, 413 Vine Street. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
