Barbara Veach, age 79 of Cincinnati, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Barb was born on December 9, 1937 in Mendota, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Marie (Sumpter) Shadden. Barb was one of twelve children. She was united in marriage to Troy Veach in the Summer of 1980.
Barb is survived by her husband, Troy Veach of Cincinnati; her daughter, Terri Baker of Centerville; her step sons, Steven, Derek and Michael Veach; two sisters, Delores and Patty; a brother, Billy; two grandchildren, Tyler Baker and Jack Shadden; six great-grandchildren, Payton, Evelyn, Draven, Sadie, Hunter, and Jack Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Marie Shadden; five sisters, Betty, Delores, Jean, Margel, Wanda and Judy; and three brothers, Bob, Tom and Dick.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Cincinnati Community Center in Cincinnati, Iowa. Inurnment will take place at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati at a later time. Memorials have been established to the Paralyzed Veterans of America (in Barbara's name) and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
