George E. Lathrop, son of Fred and Emma Lathrop, was born in Corning, Iowa, March 25, 1884, and died April 29, 1898, age 14 years, 1 month and 4 days. During his last illness of several weeks, he was a great sufferer, seeming to realize that he was nearing his end. The funeral was conducted by the pastor from the home of the deceased, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends, and the remains were interred in Walnut Grove cemetery. Brother and Sister Lathrop and family desire to extend their thanks to all friends who assisted them during the last illness of their beloved son.

GEORGE E. LATHROP

George, the 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lathrop of this city, died Friday, April 29, 1898, after a months sickness and severe suffering. The funeral took place from his late home conducted by Rev. W. H. Gifford. Internment in Walnut Grove cemetery. George was a bright and dutiful son, whose loss is a great affliction to his bereaved parents.
