Darla Rae Charlton a 40 year resident of the Kettle Falls and Colville, WA communities, passed away on February 9, 2007 in Colville at the age of 45. Darla was born in Spokane, WA on April 6, 1961 the daughter of Kenneth and Neoma (Hammond) Rosen. Darla was raised in Kettle Falls and later resided in Colville where she worked for the Colville Police Department for 21 years. Darla was preceded in death by her husband, Allen in 2003, mother Neoma Rosen-Shick in 1999 and "Granny" Velma Cantrell in 2001. She is survived by her son, Nicholas Charlton and his wife, Damotra, Renton, WA; grandson, Evan Charlton, Renton, WA; special friend, Mike Waggoner, Colville, WA; sisters, Kathy Drosche, Spokane, WA, Dana Spring and her husband, Dan, Colville; brothers, Keith Rosen and his wife, Lisa, Kettle Falls, Kent Rosen and his wife, Lynette, Spokane; father, Kenneth Rosen and his wife, Arlene, Spokane, WA; "dad and mom", Harold and Shirley Monette, Kettle Falls, WA; "brothers" Ron Charlton and his wife, Kelly, Kettle Falls, WA, Joey Charlton and his wife, Jessica, Bellevue, WA "sisters" Linda Schauls and her husband, Steve, Kettle Falls, WA, Angela Stewart and her husband, Stacey, Kettle Falls, WA; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Linda Charlton, Kettle Falls, WA; grandfather, Frank Giddings, Kettle Falls, WA; best friend, Laura Rebmann, Colville, WA; Her "Boys" at the Colville Police Department; numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Assembly of God Church in Colville, WA. Graveside Service and vault interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fairmount Memorial Cemetery in Spokane, WA. Pastor Tony Pinkham will officiate. Memorial contributions can be given to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905. Darla is buried with her mother Neoma. They share a gravestone together. Currently not sure where her husband is currently buried. One record says he is in the cemetery, but they have no record of him listed.
