Joe Fred Cooper was born February 11, 1934 the son of the late Joe Fox and Myrtle Denney Cooper. He departed this life Tuesday, in Lexington reaching an age of 83 years.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie Richardson Cooper and two daughters: Debra Jo and her husband Abbas Larian and Connie Lynn and husband Scott Cumming.

Also surviving are his grandchildren: Stephen Bertram, Nika Larian, Dwayne Roberts and Lucas Roberts; great grandchildren: Amara, Keith, Carlie and David Roberts and Amanda Rains. Surviving siblings are: Alice Gosser, James, Ray and Gary Cooper. His sister: Dorothy Francis precedes him in death.

Joe served his country with honor in the United States Army and was retired from the National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer. He had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a faithful member of the Spann Hill Baptist Church.
