Knox, Elizabeth J. (Bette) went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Bette was born in Salt Lick, Kentucky on December 31, 1934, the daughter of the late Myrtle Calvert Knox and Walter Vernon Knox. She is survived by her sister Shannon Exline of Clemmons, NC and her sister Peggy Kopke of Largo, FL. She is the sister of the late Bobby Knox of North Huntington, PA and the late Walter T. Knox of Houston, PA. She is also survived by her cherished friend of 32 years Bev Bartholomew. Bette also had many nieces and nephews whom she loved, adored, and spent much family time with throughout the years. She moved from West Mifflin, PA in 1984 upon retiring from Verizon as an office manager. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Clearwater. Bette was an avid world traveler visiting 62 countries throughout the world, was a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Pioneer Phone Co Retirees. She loved music, playing the piano and organ, and belonged to a local organ club. Her many friends throughout the U.S. will miss her dearly.
