James Doyle "Jim" Forte was born on July 27, 1928 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Victor Thomas Forte Sr (1890–1977) and Theresa Edna (Seibert) Forte (1890–1984).
He was a graduate of Saint Ann school and a lifetime parishioner of Saint Ann Catholic Church. He was also a graduate of Father Ryan High School.
Jim served in the Korean War and was retired from Nashville Electric Service after more than 30 years of service. He was also a devoted and loving caregiver for his nephew Martin McGrath for many years.
Still in Nashville, he was 88 years old when he passed away on April 29, 2017.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carol (Forte) McGrath and Rita (Forte) Johnson, brothers Anthony "Tony" Forte Sr, Francis "Buck" Forte, Charlie Forte, Victor Thomas Forte Jr, Edward "Eddie Forte and Frederick "Fritz" Forte and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary Service was at Saint Ann Catholic Church, as was Funeral Mass. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
