FORTE, H. Frederick "Fritz", - age 91, passed away Sunday, the 21st of July, 2013. Mr. Forte was born on the 30th of January, 1922 to the late Victor T. and Theresa S. Forte Sr.¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine K. Forte, infant son, John Victor Forte and son-in-law, William H. Davis; brothers Tony, Charlie, Buck, Vic and Eddie Forte; sisters Carol McGrath and Rita Johnson. He is survived by his son, Greg Forte; daughters, Ann Yuknavage (Jerry), Regina Neligan (Tom) and Alicia Davis; grandchildren, Rachel, Connor and Ryan Davis, John and Tracy Neligan and brother Jim Forte. Fritz was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, former member of St Ann Choir, a combat veteran of WW II in Europe, founding member of St. Ann Knights of Columbus and a member of Council 544. He was an alumnus of St Ann School and Father Ryan High School class of 1940. He also volunteered at the West Nashville Shelter for many years. Funeral Mass will be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Wednesday the 24th of July, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Breen, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday at St. Ann Catholic Church beginning at four o'clock in the afternoon and concluding with the Rosary at seven o'clock. Memorials in honor of Mr. Forte may be made to St. Ann School, 5105 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37209 or charity of your choice.
