Sherry Norris, 64, born in New Albany, MS, raised in Birmingham, AL, went to be reunited with her parents, James "Jack" and Jo B. Scott and brother, Tommy Scott in heaven on May 1, 2017.
A graduate of Ramsey High School class of 1970, she married her love of her life, Walter Norris in 1971.
Sherry was sweet to everyone she met and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. All the children she came in contact with were the joy in her life, especially Jack also three very special god children, Keith, Corey and Chris Smith.
Sherry was a hardworking and faithful employee of Golden Flake for 20 years, La Cole Florist for 8 years and Western Super Market for 6 years.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Walter R. L. Norris, one son, Jack Norris (Jerri), 4 grandchildren; Scott Robert Norris, Bradley Austin Hyde, Lauren Shea Mims, Cassidy Grace Norris, her second love of her life, Tom Baker, one uncle, Bill Scott (Jackie), and aunt Lynn, her BFF, JoAnn Ingram and a very special, long-time friend, Rani Smith.
The pallbearers will be, Robert Norris, Frank Norris, Jim Baker, Tom Baker, Scott Norris, Stephen Reynolds, and Joshua Hill.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 5, 2017 at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery.
