WESTON, Alice May--Born Toronto (York County), October 25th, 1892. Passed away in Regina, Saskatchewan January 10th, 1988, age 95 years. Her father was the late Walter Weston of Madoc, Ontario and her mother Jane Davidson of Govan, Scotland. Her uncle was the late George Weston of George Weston Ltd.,Toronto. The family came west to homestead near Lorlie, Saskatchewan in 1905, she had a long business career including Post Mistress in Lorlie, Saskatchewan, assistant in the bakery operation of her father in Winnipeg, her final position for 56 years was Senior Secretary in the George Thorn Law Firm in Regina. May was a member of the Gospel Hall in Regina for many years and laterally a member of the Southside Pentecostal Assembly. She served as a teacher of the Adult Bible Class for a number of years. She supported many charities including sponsorship of several Indonesian children. She is survived by sisters Florence Hatcher, Myrtle Ellis of Regina, Violet Weston, Victoria, and Lesley Ellis of Vancouver, as well she is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers Charlie, Archie and Arnot. The Funeral Service was held in Helmsing Funeral Chapel, Regina 1 p.m. January 13th, 1988 Rev. David Saunders and the Rev. Dr. walter E. Ellis officiated.
