"Had Been Resident of This
Community For 56 Years
"Mrs. Verda Hall, a resident of this community for 56 years, passed away at her home in this city Friday evening following a paralytic stroke. She had been ill for two weeks.
"Verda Ricker was born on Sept. 7, 1865, in Goodhue county and came to Appleton when 13 years old with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Ricker. She is the last of a family of nine children. She was married to Ernest Hall in 1895.
"One daughter, Mrs. Arthur Lefstad of Minneapolis, and one son, Percy Hall, survive her. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Episcopal church conducted bt Rev. J.H. Rayner.
"The pall bearers were I.P. Cheney, Gunther Kiviey, Ed Lunde, O.T. Brustuen, E.S. Dow and R.E. Dow."
