"Mrs. Hannah Ricker died at her residence in this city on the 22d inst of consumption aged 48 years. Mrs. Ricker was born in Maine in 1843 and was married to S.S. Ricker in 1864. She removed to Goodhue county, Minnesota, in 1864, and with her husband and family removed to Appleton in 1878. Her husband died some years ago, since which time she has lived in Appleton and on her farm in Lac qui Parle county. She was the mother of nine children, four of whom survive her. Mrs. Ricker was an affectionate mother and a kind neighbor and friend and her death is deeply regretted by her family and friends. The funeral occurred on Tuesday."
