He was born in Columbia, PA on August 11, 1921, a son of Monroe and Helen W. Frazer, both deceased. In 1942, Bob joined the US Navy and quickly rose to the rank of Chief Motor Machinist. He spent most of the war on a subchaser patrolling between Norfolk, VA and Florida.
After the war, he settled in Richmond, VA where he worked for Sears-Roebuck as a District Catalog Sales Manager. He later moved to Kill Devil Hills, NC where he was the general manager of the John Yancey Motel. He retired in December 1983.
Bob is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Amy Frazer of the home and his only daughter, Peggy Mattox of Richmond, VA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Suzette Patterson and B.W. Mattox; his great grandchildren, Ashley Mattox, Amanda Welch and Lote Patterson and three great great grandchildren.
In honor of his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service or visitation.
