Ella Vee Anderson Beddingfield, 100, of Zirconia, died Friday, February 22, 2013 following a period of declining health.
A multi-generation native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Augustus Anderson and Hattie Ward Anderson. She worked as manager of the food service at Flat Rock Junior High School until retirement in 1983. Ella was a life-long member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She was active with the Henderson County Genealogical Society for many years and enjoyed helping others researching their family histories. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, sewing, gardening and travel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Oscar Leander Beddingfield, and the following siblings: sister, Gertrude Anderson; brothers, Augustus Ward Anderson, John Allen Anderson, Hugh William Anderson, Clyde Walter Anderson, George Edward Anderson, Joseph Calvin Anderson and Ray Anderson.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana Ruth Beddingfield; a grandson, Adam Lawrence Beddingfield; several nieces, nephews and two sisters in law.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 27, 2013 at the Ward Family Cemetery. The Reverend Lewis Staton will officiate.
