Sally Davila Jensen,68,a resident of Las Cruces formerly of Silver City entered into eternal rest Sunday Nov. 14 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. Visitation will be held Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapels followed by the prayer vigil there at 7 led by Deacon Bill Holguin. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Friday at 10 in the morning at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Marcos Reyna officiating. The rite of committal and burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. She was born June 14, 1936 in Pinos Altos to Alfonso Arzaga and Eloisa Davila Arzaga. She spent most of her life in Silver City attending Silver City public schools and graduating from Western High School. Later she moved to Lordsburg where she met and married her lifetime friend and partner Bernard R. Jensen. They moved to Las Cruces where she lived until her death. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Jensen is survived by husband Bernard R. Jensen of Las Cruces; her daughter Selia "Tinker" Henry of Drexel, Mo.; brothers Sen Ben D. Altamirano of Silver City, David Bencomo of Safford, Ariz., Tommy Bencomo of Morenci, Ariz., Steven Bencomo of Tryone and Tommy Arzaga of Silver City; and sisters Gloria Trujillo of Lordsburg, Lupe Flores of Las Cruces, Barbara Gonzales of Tucson, Ariz., Margaret Hernandez of Las Cruces, Mary Silva of Chula Vista, Calif., Gloria Zamora of Santa Clara and Sandy Polanco of Silver City. Also surviving are her grandchildren. Pallbearers are David, Tommy, and Steve Bencomo, Benjamin Altamirano, Adam Trujillo and Mike Trujillo. Honorary bearers are Sen. Ben D. Altamirano and Tommy Arzaga. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels.
