Early Life: Janis was born February 5, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, to Burl Armon and Emma LaVon Burningham Brown.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Janis worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer for California and Utah. She loved having the opportunity to help kids through very difficult circumstances. She was a devoted aunt who loved teaching children. Even though she never had any children of her own, she was a mother and grandmother to many. She enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, doing family history, and canning. Janis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a Sunbeam teacher, helped at girl’s camp and had many other callings where she served faithfully. She will be missed greatly by those who knew her. Janis Lee Brown, of Payson, Utah, passed away on April 26, 2017 from complications of liver cancer. She was 68.
Survived By: Her siblings: Joan (Kent) Anderson, Larry (Drue) Brown, and Jay (Charles) Brown.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents and three brothers.
