Gravis Wilton Alexander, Jr., long time resident of Silsbee, passed away at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Gravis graduated from Mississippi State in 1964. He worked as a forester for Kirby Lumber Co. for twenty one years. He then started Alexander Forest Service and also worked with real estate.

He was a deacon at First Baptist Church and was a member of the Gideon Society.

Preceded in death by his father Gravis Wilton Alexander, Sr. and a grandson Blake Forest Alexander, survivors include his wife Ann Grant Alexander; two sons, Gravis Wilton Alexander III and wife Starla and Joel Alexander and wife Bridget; mother Leona Alexander; sisters, Carolyn Watkins and husband Charles and Linda Ulland and husband Ray and three grandchildren, Bree Alexander, Katelyn Alexander and Jarden Alexander.

Funeral services at First Baptist Church of Silsbee. Services will be conducted by Doctor Scott Moody, Reverend R. E. Barclay and Elder Jimmy Beech. Interment in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery.
