Earline Dunn, 86, Colorado City passed away peacefully in the Hendrick Hospice Center of Abilene with her loving family by her side.

She was born January 21, 1931 in Westbrook Texas.

Earline was a Godly woman who always made sure to put God and family first in her life, attending many of the area Baptist Churches in the area in her life, most recently the First Baptist Church of Colorado City. Earline's daughter was of utmost importance to her, as a single mother in her early life she worked hard to give her daughter what she needed and a little extra, but she always made sure to keep a close eye on her. She spent many years working in the school cafeteria's changing schools when her daughter did, first the Primary School, then to Hutchinson, and finally Junior High. Earline held many jobs throughout her life but will most be remembered for her time working at the Lazy Day Drive In. No matter the job she was always known as one of the hardest workers.

Earline was a very giving woman who enjoyed being self-sufficient. In her later years even when sick she just kept smiling, didn't complain and would not impose or ask any extra of anybody that would put them out of pocket or interfere with their day-to-day routine. She was a woman who loved her pets and all animals and hated to see any harm come to them. She truly was a woman of character who will be missed dearly by her family and the many whose lives she has touched in so many ways.

Earline is survived by her husband Charles Dunn of Colorado City, her daughter Lucille Butler and husband Artie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, her grandson Doctor Brian Butler and wife Doctor Maryanne Butler of Denver, Colorado, and by her great-grandchildren Carley Butler, Caitlyn Butler, and Hayden Butler.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Rosco McCarty, Ben McCarty, Ira McCarty, and Henry McCarty, and by her sisters Doris Garrett, Minnie Driggers, Pauline Callaway, and Bessie Rich.

A funeral service for Earline will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Colorado City with Doctor Jerry Shields officiating, interment will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery. A visitation for Earline will be held Tuesday, May 2, from 6-8 pm at the Kiker Seale Funeral home.
