Herman 'Bunk' Richard Bruns of Borger, Texas, formerly of Van Buren, died June 7, 1992 in Amarillo, Texas. He was retired from Phillips Petroleum Co.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and the Scottish Rite Body of El Paso, Texas, he was a charter member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge in Borger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman H. and Ocie Ione Bruns; Brothers, James Albert, Frederick 'Pete' Bruns, Henry Bruns, Bill Bruns and a sister, Pauline Cora Lambert Bruns.

He as survived by his wife, Madeline; two daughters, Nola M. Ash of Amarillo, Texas, and Marsha Hansen of Moore, Oklahoma; two sisters Caroline Allen and Hermie Smith of Van Buren; four brothers, Antone of Los Angeles, Francis of Waco, Texas and Robert and Walter both of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held in St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Borger with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
