Donna Louise Singleton Jensen

Early Life: Donna was born October 24, 1925, in Provo, Utah, the second daughter of Arthur Lenn Singleton and Louise McEwan Singleton. She attended Provo schools and graduated from Provo High School. Donna enjoyed music, participating in chorus', performing solos, duets with her sister, Gloria, dance, and secretarial and business classes.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: She went on to study at Brigham Young University. Donna sang occasionally with her sister on the radio station KOVO in Provo. She loved singing and was kept busy performing for different organizations and events. She worked as a secretary in the Purchasing Department at BYU during her college days. During World War II, she worked as a secretary at Geneva Steel. She sang in operas for the Utah Valley Opera Association. Donna and Duane both loved ballroom dancing. They were asked to be the dance directors in their ward and stake. They loved to teach and share their talents with others. She was a member for many years of the Women's Council of Provo, the Madson Memorial Chorus, The Olesca Club, Orem Women's Club, Literary Club, and Elder Qwest. She served in many leadership positions in them. She loved all the friendships she made, sharing talents, and learning together while in these organizations. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donna served in various callings throughout the years. She especially loved her callings in which she directed music for the ward and stake choirs. She was an avid BYU fan and loved watching and cheering for them her entire life. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. She loved spending time with them and supporting them in all of their activities. Donna Louise Singleton Jensen died on April 22, 2017. She was 91.
Survived By: Her son and two daughters: David (Cindy) Jensen, Woodland Hills; Merilee (Stanley) Houghton, Woodland Hills; Suzanne (The late Ron) Porritt, Pleasant Grove; 18 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and sister, Gloria Singleton Anderson.
