Daniel Morris Albright, 80, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Chapelwood United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. April 26, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following charities: Dementia Society of America, the American Kidney Foundation and the American Heart Society.
He was born in Linden, Texas, in 1936. He graduated from Atlanta High School before attending the University of Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
He married Laurie Elaine Fisher on Aug. 12, 1965. They lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico, before moving to Lake Jackson in 1969. He worked in education for 39 years, including 32 years at Brazosport Independent School District teaching data processing and computer math.
Dan was easy going and thoughtful with a great sense of humor. He loved to help when help was needed and was a favorite teacher of many former students.
Mr. Albright is survived by his sister, Judy Toland of Doddridge, Arkansas, wife Laurie and daughters, Kristen Albright Hudson of Whiteville, Tennessee, and Meredith Albright Peters of Owasso, Oklahoma, along with four grandchildren, Matthew Daniel Hudson, Katelyn Emily Hudson, Paige Elizabeth Peters and Gibson Daniel Peters.
