SHULLEETA, Helen Cecilia Stupasky, born November 1, 1911, returned to Our Lord and Savior and her beloved family, at the age of 105, on Thursday April 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Shulleeta Sr.; son, Thomas A. Shulleeta, his wife, Sue and their son Vincent; parents, John and Rose Agnes Stupasky; sisters, Rose McMahon and Ann Walters; brothers, Frank, Joseph, Anthony, John (Rev. Gabriel, OSB), Stephen Stupasky; and son-in-law, Dwight Patrick. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Anne Patrick; son, William A. Shulleeta Jr. and his wife, Ginger; eight grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Helen grew up on a farm in Chesterfield County, where she picked peanuts and tobacco until the age of thirteen, when she moved to Lakeside to live in the home her father built. She was a devoted mother, great cook, gardener and an athlete who enjoyed tennis, running and walking. She saw great changes and advancements in her lifetime. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Anthony's Meronite Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
