Mr. Render Lee Ison, 91, of LaFayette, Alabama died Sunday April 23, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 2PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Powell officiating with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 5PM until 8PM.
Mr. Ison was born in Chambers County December 30, 1925 to the late Guy Ison and the late Annie Mae Ison. Mr. Ison was retired from Ison Logging, and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Tiller's X-Roads) Camp Hill, Alabama.
He is survived by his four children, Anthony (Janet) Ison of LaFayette, Melanie (Kenneth) Brown of LaFayette, Chris (JoAnna) Ison of LaFayette, Jerome (Jerri) Ison of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Tanya (Kevin) Boone of Wetumpka, Matthew (Jacqueline) Brown of LaFayette, Brandon (Alaina) Ison of LaFayette, Brian (Gina Ratland) Brown of LaFayette, Carmen (Jonathan) Walker of Roanoke, LeAnna (Joey) Gillenwaters of LaFayette, Lindsey Ison of LaFayette; seven great grandchildren, Bailea & Bryant Boone, Lexie & Alivia Brown, Maison & Whitlee Walker & Avery Ison; brother in law, Hilson (Linda) Lisenby of LaFayette; sister in law, Frances Fant of White Plains. He was preceded in death by his parents; Foster Parents, Ruben & Emma Looser; wife Of 64 years, Resa F. Ison; brother, James "Bud" (LaVerne) Ison; foster brothers, Joe (Nellie Dean) Looser & Albert Looser.
