Early Life: Ramona was born April 15, 1933, in Kanab, Utah, to Mason and Lenore Averett Meeks. She grew up in Kanab and attended Kanab High School where she participated in school musicals and operettas. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in choirs and groups throughout her life.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings throughout her life. She was compassionate and funny. On August 20, 1952, she married Blain Chamberlain in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ramona loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors and enjoyed sharing the fresh vegetables from her garden. She also loved to look at the flowers growing in her yard. She is loved and will be forever missed. Ramona Meeks Chamberlain, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully amongst family and friends Wednesday April 20, 2017. She was 84.
Survived By: Her loving husband of 64 years; their three children: Lori Whiting, of Silverdale WA; Julie Bragg, of Vancouver WA; and Blain Curtis, of Payson UT; her three grandchildren; one great grandson; her sister, Beverly Hortin, of California; and her stepbrother, Robert Williamson, of Virginia.
