Susan Murray Mason
December 12, 1950 ~ October 13, 2016 (age 65)
Our beloved wife, mother and “Nana” Susan Murray Mason, lost her long battle with MS on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
Sue was born on Dec.12, 1950 to Freeman and Donna Murray. She graduated from Bonneville High school in 1969.
Sue married Dell Stettler in 1971 and they had two boys Jeff and Jeremy. Sue and Dell later divorced giving her the opportunity to meet the love of her life, Melvin Mason. Mel and Sue along with their dog, Bridget, where never far apart.
Sue’s pride and joys were her grand- babies; Nakoda, Ciara, CJ and Kaden, although she was very sick, Nana always made time for them no matter how she felt. She took them on many family adventures like; exotic cruises ,trips to Disneyland , camping and filling them full of whatever they wanted (always before dinner). Her ability for crafting was unbelievable she was a MacGyver with a glue gun and crochet needles.
She is survived by her husband Mel Mason, four of the best grandchildren a Nana could have; Nakoda, Ciara, Cj and Kaden, and their “parental units” Jeff (Jamie) Stettler and Jeremy (Valerie) Stettler and her dog, Bridget. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Freeman and Donna Murray.
Her boys would like to give Mel a very special THANK YOU for all he has done for her over the past 18 years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Friends and family may also attend her viewing on Monday October 17, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Hooper Cementery.
