Death of Mrs. Hattie G. Rogers

Mrs. Hattie G. Rogers. 81, of Hemlock died in the Wallis Nursing Home, Springwater, Saturday, Apr. 4, 1959, after two weeks illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry M. Rogers, 13 years ago.

Born July 30, 1877, in Lima, she was the daughter of John Green and Ellen Smiley Green and had resided in the family home in Hemlock for 62 years.

Mrs. Rogers has been a member of the Hemlock Methodist Church for 60 years, an active member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church for more than 50 years and was communion steward for 25 years.

Surviving are a son, Donald of Buffalo; two daughters. Mrs. Elmer Close and Mrs. Hugh Drain of Hemlock; a sister, Mrs. Mary Trimmer of Hemlock; a grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Hemlock Methodist Church with the Rev. Winthrop Yinger officiating. Arrangements were made by the Brown Funeral Home, Livonia. Interment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima.
