MAYSVILLE -- Wanda Jean Shelton Dixon, 74, of Maysville, died peacefully at 1:35 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Maysville Extended Care and Rehabilitation Facility.

Wanda was born in Maysville on June 7, 1942, to the late Orville and Florean Sparks Shelton.

Wanda married Gerald Dixon in 1960 and together they raised five sons.

Wanda attended First Christian Church in Maysville, was a member of the Mason County Homemakers, the YMCA, and was an avid golfer.

Wanda is survived by her five sons, Gerald, Jr. (Jerry) and his wife, Connie, Tim and his wife, Donna of Salt Lick, Jeff and his wife, Mary of Maysville, Chris and his wife, Tonya of Brooksville, James and his wife, Faye of Maysville; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Larry Schlomer of Aberdeen, Ohio.

In addition to her parents Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; and a brother, Ronnie Shelton.

Wanda loved to travel, spend time with friends, and teach senior fitness classes at the YMCA.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with visitation at the funeral home from 10 a.m., until the hour of services.

Memorials are suggested to Maysville First Christian Church, Hospice of Hope or the charity of ones choice.
