Jerry “Ben” Benjamin, 76, of Heidenheimer died Monday

Services with military honors for Jerry “Ben” Benjamin, 76, of Heidenheimer will be Saturday, April 29, in Holland Cemetery. Vehicle procession will begin at 1 p.m. at Benjamin’s Imports, 510 S. Third St. in Temple.
The body will be cremated.
Mr. Benjamin died Monday, April 17, at a local hospital.
He was born March 8, 1941, to George and Ruth Whaley Benjamin in Hillsdale, Mich. He attended high school in Litchfied, Mich., and graduated from Central Texas College with a degree in criminal justice. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. On Jan. 1, 2000, he married Jacqueline Smith in Las Vegas. He was a Baptist. He was the owner and mechanic at Benjamin’s Imports. He was a resident of Central Texas since 1973.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jay Benjamin of Copperas Cove; two daughters, Jerilyn Duncan of Conroe and Jodi Richard of Fort Worth; two brothers, John Benjamin of Michigan and James Benjamin of Arlington; a sister, Jacqualyn Huber of Michigan; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple.
