Mr. Cunningham passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Dallas. He was born May 17, 1921 in Dexter, Texas to the late Roy W. Cunningham and Beulah Cunningham Patterson and was the eldest of four brothers. Bob attended Wellington schools, graduating in1940 and attended college in Canyon, Texas before entering the Army Air Corp to serve during WWII. He was very proud of his military service and often spoke fondly of the experiences he had and the people he met during his time of service. He married his beloved wife, Naomi Barker Cunningham, on November 20, 1942 in Shamrock, Texas. They lived in Lubbock for many years and returned when Bob retired from Borden Milk Company in 1984 after 35 years of service. They were members of the South Plains Church of Christ.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Naomi Cunningham, his son Ron Cunningham, and two brothers Lindy Cunningham of Wellington, TX and Keith Cunningham of Shamrock, Texas, a step-brother J.B. Patterson of Cheyenne, WY, and a step-sister Lucille Patterson Rorick of Grove City, OH.

He is survived by his brother Bill Cunningham (and wife Rosemary) of Amarillo, a sister-in-law Mary Ann Cunningham (wife of the late Keith Cunningham) of Shamrock, two daughters, Jonnye Parascand of Albuquerque, NM and Linda Clark (and husband Steve) of Dallas, a daughter-in-law Joy Cunningham (wife of the late Ron Cunningham) of Midland, six grandchildren Lance Cunningham (and wife Lori) of Tampa, FL, Alex Sparks of Albuquerque, NM, Amber Hassell (and husband Bill) of The Woodlands, TX, Dr. Leigh Cunningham of Houston, Caitlin Clark of Dallas, and Chelsea Bedotto (and husband James) of Arlington. He had three great granddaughters, Bailey Olson of The Woodlands, and Lilli and Shaylin Cunningham of Tampa, FL. He had many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, friends, and golfing buddies who were all very special to him in life.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Care Mountain Home Health and, most especially, Ms. Justina Sarpong and Ms. Irene Boro, who worked so hard to make the last two years of Mr. Cunningham's life comfortable and happy. They would also like to thank the fine nurses and physicians of Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Dallas who provided him such great care and dignity in his last days.
