DARLINGTON - Services for Willie Gaynell Broach Rhodes, 90, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Belk Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 210 South Dargan Street.

Mrs. Rhodes, widow of Roland Rhodes, died December 8, 2001. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Magnolia Tarte Broach. Together, she and her husband operated Rhodes Grocery during the 1950s and 60s. Mrs. Rhodes was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy (Nancy) Rhodes of Darlington; daughter-in-law, Jeanette "Sarah" Rhodes of Darlington; 18 grandchildren; great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters, Dorothy R. Driggers and Christine R. Griggs; son, William Rhodes.
