Alice E. Christopher, 91, of West Lafayette, formerly of Monticello, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus.
Born August 1, 1925 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Goldie (Hall) Arndt.
Her first marriage was to George Smith Sr. and he preceded her in death on April 25, 1970. She then married Everett A. Christopher on April 30, 1971. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2006.
Alice was a member of the Liberty Chapel Ladies Aid. She loved gardening, tending flowers, babysitting, and cooking for her family. She enjoyed collecting teapots and other knick-knacks that she purchased from garage sales, and fishing.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Nancy Keith (husband: Craig) of Alabama; two sons, John Smith (wife: Vicki) of Brookston and Fred Smith (wife: Cindy) of Arkansas; and two step-children from her second marriage, John Christopher (wife: Lynn) of Wisconsin, and Edward Christopher (wife: Lisa) of Brookston.
Alice has multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Some of her very special friends that are still living are Tim and Linda Mounts, Jim Witus, her dear friend of 50 years, Larry Brown, and her best-friend of 60 years, Marge Ferguson.
Preceding her in death with her parents and husbands are four brothers and one sister, as well as four step-children from her first marriage, Wretha Hunt, Lois Martin, George Smith, and Jake Smith; and four step-children from her second marriage, Christina Butticci, Karen Bagget, Mary and Barbara.
